Client Brief:
Viva Baby is an ecommerce site for purchasing children's products online. Their main business is retail of Baby Furniture, bedding, accessories and gift. The idea behind creating the site is to sell 200 and above different products belonging to different categories like furniture, accessories, bedding and gifts through the online shopping cart. The client did not want a scroll to view the categories on the product pages. This is a secure site and runs on both http and https protocols. The client asked for this extra level of security to provide reliability of transactions for its clients.

Our Endeavour:
The site has the Direct Marketing functionality along with the discount functionality.The administrative console has a provision to allows the add/delete/modify categories, products etc. It allows a Quick Buy functionality to enter the codes of 10 products & purchase them instantly. We integrated ecommerce shopping cart with the site. Products can be added to the ecommerce shopping cart as well. The distinct feature is that all the data transaction is done in the XML which makes the site fast & robust.

The rich set of functionality includes an array of features like sales promotion codes, and sale on items. This feature is aimed to enhance sales by providing discounts to all or some designated customers. All customers can avail the benefit of slashed prices when there is a sale. Designated and privileged customers can avail discounts on a set of items at all times, by submitting a special code.

Upon each successful transaction, a notification is sent to the customer and the administrator. The admin section keeps an eye on each transaction made(even if it has failed), each page visited, and the frequency of purchases made by a customer through the shopping cart. The admin can fetch a detailed report on each sale. So, it has the advantage of reading the pulse of the market, and changing taste of customers, which ultimately benefits our client.
